bio-reveal: THE IDEAL RAPID BIO-DETECTION TOOL
bio-reveal is a revolutionary real-time system designed to save money and ensure quality and safety. bio-reveals applications are diverse and range from fulfilling mold and cleanup remediating clearance standards are to quality control and contamination monitoring requirements fro the healthcare and food industry. bio-reveal is an extremely sensitive detection system and can indicate the existence of not only potentially dangerous organisms such as mold but somatic materials which may also pose a threat that, traditional methods, such as culturing, can not detect.
.
bio-reveals accuracy and sensitivity make it an ideal tool for mold testing, healthcare infection control monitoring and trending as well as risk management for the food service and manufacturing industries.

The bio-reveal luminometer is a handheld device weighing approximately 8-oz. The bio-reveal self-contained collection swabs are approximately 6.75 inches in length and are extremely robust, temperature tolerant and aseptic.

ATP TECHNOLOGY = DETECTING LIFES COMMON THREAD
the bio-reveal real-time microbial detection system measures ATP [adenosine triphosphate] a molecule found in all living organisms such as bacteria, plant cells and mold. Biological residues contain ATP that can be detected quantified and tracked using BEMs bio-reveal real-time system.
.
the bio-reveal system uses bioluminescence to detect the presence of the ATP molecule [Figure A-Below]. ATP [adenosine triphosphate] is the chemical compound in which energy is stored in all living cells. in the ATP-luminometric test, the firefly enzyme [luciferase] in the presence of its substrate, luciferin, oxygen and magnesium ions catalyzes conversion of ATP into light through oxidation-reduction reaction. The quantify f light light generated is directly proportional the amount of ATP present, thus, the light units can be used to generate a good estimate of the biomass of cells in a sample
The reaction is specific for ATP and very efficient, with almost every molecule of ATP causing the emission of one photon of green light. As all organisms rely on ATP as the main carrier of metabolic energy, it is a very useful indicator of the presence of organic cells.
.
THE bio-reveal PROCESS: SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE
Quantification of intercellular microbial ATP can be conveniently accomplished using the bio-reveal systems rapid and simplified extraction and assay procedures. the user simply swabs the surface [or takes a water sample by dipping the swab tip for 3 seconds or, for more accurate measurements, using the the Aquasnap collection device], reassembles the swab-tube and breaks the Snap valve which releases the reagent that reacts with the ATP in the sample. The swab is placed into the system measure II instrument and the readout is reported in the relative light units [RLUs]. by knowing the number of microorganisms responsible for generating known RLUs, one can estimate the number of microorganisms in the sample

REVEALING MORE THAN GERMS: Seeing the BIG PICTURE of Contamination
The bio-reveal System can be used as an estimation not just for total viable cell counts but as a sanitation check including the verification of somatic cells presence on a surface. ATP bio luminescence measures the total amount of ATP, thus providing a means of detecting product and organic residues such as blood and other bodily fluids as well as food [not just the microorganisms detected by traditional microbiology tests]. this total dirt test is a much more effective measure of whether a surface has been effectively sanitized.
The bio-reveal bio-contamination detection system consists of the Hygiena Systemsure II luminometer and the Hygiena Ultrasnap ATP collection swab.
